Indoor Bowls

This group was started for the first time last Autumn and was run in conjunction with the Angel Bowls Centre in Tonbridge. The Centre provided coaching and hire of woods. There were 12 regular participants and played each Friday afternoon from October to the end of December. Subject to negotiation, it is anticipated the group will run again although depending on numbers to make it worthwhile. Details should be available at the Open Day and also in the appropriate Newsletter. Last year’s members will be welcome again. Cost will be £3.20 per session plus £1 for bowls hire if required

Industrial Heritage

Our normal meeting day is the 4th Wednesday of the month, at 10.30 a.m. for talks, or all day for visits.

This is a fairly informal group of people interested in our industrial past and what can still be seen of it in the world around us. Meetings take the form of talks in Tonbridge Reference Library's meeting room, or visits and explorations to places of industrial history interest. We are interested in all branches of industry, from agriculture to transport, manufacturing to mining ... and particularly those with local connections.
