This page explains how members of Tonbridge U3A can gain access via a 'protected' link into the "Members' Only" area of their website.

If  a member wishes to have access then he/she must email Herbie Doel with their name and membership number and after checking the information he will activate this for them. Please note this will be done as soon as possible - but it may not be instantaneous! Once he has completed this and permission is granted an email will be sent by pbwiki inviting the member to set up his/her 'wiki' account.

This will involve nominating a password which is linked with his/her email address but would be permanently valid only for wiki's to which you have been given access - it will not give access to any other. As with any other type of password, this should not be divulged to anyone else. On the account application there is also an option to receive an email from pbwiki everytime an entry is made.  It is recommended that this is changed to 'never' to avoid being flooded with emails! 

Only after the account is completed will it be possible to gain access the pages in the website by clicking  here- in most cases this will be a 'read only' facility.  Alternatively the internet address of the 'members only' website can be stored in favourites so that access can be made directly without having to go through the main web site.

Only those members who have completed the above can obtain access to the members only website.

Should a member ceased to belong to Tonbridge U3A they will autumatically be removed from having access - and any member may request removal at any time.
